Based on our experience gained in close cooperation with numerous customers in ambitious projects across the globe, Leonardo is consequently applying a clear, modular, flexible and versatile system architecture. Our systems are state-of-the-art, software-oriented and offer computer logic, which is fundamental to its main components. This is in order to operate the systems remotely within a radar intranet solution, giving access to every sub-unit from every node in the network.
Experience and Proprietorship
As a company, we have learnt from our past projects. We keep all the key technologies and manufacturing in-house, we only outsource low-level production. As the only weather radar system supplier in the world, we design and build all the main assemblies ourselves. We have full design rights and capabilities on antennas of all sizes, Klystron/Magnetron transmitters, digital receivers, signal processors, radar control systems, maintenance software and meteorological user software.

Our deep technical skills are extremely valuable for our customers in terms of low project risk, intensive customer training and qualified maintenance support.
Furthermore, we have the resources available to tailor our designs in order to meet special customer requirements or to address new and emerging applications.
